What is a vacation?
Okay, so my humans keep talking about this vacation they are taking in a week or so. A vacation?
I admit I was confused. What is a vacation anyway? Well I looked it up in Merriam-Webster dictionary:
va·ca·tion
Pronunciation: vA-'kA-sh&n, v&-
Function: noun
Usage: often attributive
Etymology: Middle English vacacioun, from Middle French vacation, from Latin vacation-, vacatio freedom, exemption, from vacare
1 : a respite or a time of respite from something : INTERMISSION
2 a : a scheduled period during which activity (as of a court or school) is suspended b : a period of exemption from work granted to an employee for rest and relaxation
3 : a period spent away from home or business in travel or recreation
4 : an act or an instance of vacating
Okay, I understand now. The are getting a respite from ME! Well, where is my respite? Huh? What am I supposed to do while they are gone? I mean, I even find it hard to turn the computer on without the humans here.
I guess Patrick will feed me. He usually does. And I will still be able to hang out with Trance. So it won't be too bad. But I would love to go to Boston myself.
Where is my vacation?
